What is it?

If you have a large offering, then curating it can make it easier for buyers to find what they need. A simple way to do this is to have “top 10” or “top 5” lists of products and services curated by certain characteristics.

 

Why does it work?

It works because it makes it easier for your buyer to buy.

Buyers are often looking to be guided and have things recommended to them as you (as the seller)  are the expert in the space. If you present a list of your top 10 bestselling products for the problem your buyer is facing, you are removing the friction and thinking between them and buying your offering.

 

How can you use it?

There are 2 ways to use this:

 

1 – Top 10 lists of the products/services you sell.

Things like:

  • Top 10 bestselling
  • Top 10 quickest
  • Top 10 easiest

2 – Top 10 lists of advice and guidance which can be a simple lead magnet to attract buyers.

  • Top 10 ways to do XXX (with links to your offering in that list)

 

Example

Amazon use this to great effect, even having a top 100 list due to the vastness of their selection.
