It works because it provides peace of mind and convenience to your buyer who is confident that whatever happens, you will be there to assist them. It also helps by reducing the financial burden by spreading the cost over the longer term.
How can you use it?
Consider how you support your buyers after they buy from you. What kind of warranty do you offer? What kind of maintenance, upkeep or support may be required?
If applicable for your offering, how could you craft packages that give clients everything they need at a price they can afford?
