What is it?
If you want to encourage repeat business, then telling your buyer when they need to renew their product or service can encourage them to buy again and perhaps buy sooner than they would have otherwise.
Why does it work?
It works because it sets the standard and advises the buyer of something they perhaps never thought of. If you aren’t told your mattress or toothbrush needs to be replaced every xxx months then you may never replace it or only replace it when it’s broken or after a very long time.
