Understand Your Buyer > Wordplay >Homophone
What is it?
An Homophone occurs when two different words have the same sound.
Why does it work?
It works because it makes the reader/listener think. They have two words that sound the same, but have different meanings and, as such, they need to decipher the meaning and can’t easily skim past.
How can you use it?
It can be used to create playful puns and phrases that are designed to make you think.
